Jos musta pelaa 2. siirrolla 5, pelataan 3 ja 4, ja sitten valkea kytkee ja tappaa pelaamalla a:n. Musta ei voi estää kytkyä (pelaamalla 2 jne.), koska vapaudet eivät riitä. Jos musta pelaa 2. siirrolla esim. a, valkea voi pelata lopuksi 2:n ja tulos ei ole seki vaan tappo.

Atari a:sta ei auta mustaa, koska valkea kytkee kon. Neljän kiven vanginta ei auta, koska tilanne toistuu, kun valkea pelaa sen jälkeen 4:ään.

Jos musta 2 a:han, valkea pelaa 3:n 2:een. Tilanne palautuu koksi. Damezumarin takia musta ei voi ataroida c:stä.
