Sinikka Siivola Memorial Tournament, February 8-9th 2020, Helsinki, Finland#
To honour the memory of our dear friend, and to carry on her legacy, we are hosting a go tournament in the name of Sinikka Siivola, a true go enthusiast and tournament goer extraordinaire.
The tournament is focused on the joy of the game, and bringing reasonable go games to everyone, dans and double-digits alike. Every go player, young or old, beginner or already past their peak, old friend or a future one, should feel welcome to take part in the tournament. We would especially like to welcome Sinikka's numerous go-friends from all over Europe and elsewhere.
The registration fee is optional, and the amount is entirely up to you. The proceeds from the tournament will be donated to Syöpäsäätiö's Roosa Nauha
campaign, supporting cancer research in Finland.
Planned Activities (changes may occur)#
- Games will be played on both Saturday and Sunday. (With handicaps, GoR-unrated)
- We have booked a venue for Saturday evening. There it's possible to share your memories of Sinikka and play go. There's also a sauna at the venue.

Sinikka Siivolan muistoturnaus 8.-9.2.2020#
Turnaus järjestetään pitkän go-uran tehneen ystävämme, Sinikka Siivolan kunniaksi Helsingissä.
Muistoturnauksen tarkoitus on korostaa pelaamisen iloa ja antaa kaikille mahdollisuus pelata mielekkäitä pelejä, aina dan-pelaajista tuplakyu-pelaajiin. Turnaus pelataan tasoituksin, eivätkä turnaustulokset vaikuta gorreihin.
Turnauksen osallistumismaksu on omavalintainen summa. Turnauksen tuotot lahjoitetaan Syöpäsäätiön Roosa nauha -kampanjalle.
Alustava ohjelma#
- Turnaus pelataan kaksipäiväisenä, la- su.- Lauantai-illaksi turnaajille on varattu Sivistys-saunan tilat.
- Perjantaille on mahdollisesti suunnitteilla turnauksesta erillinen, omakustanteinen illallinen ravintolassa, jos halukkaita on tarpeeksi.
Tervetuloa#
