I understand your problems. I was a student 4 years ago too ^^
If you need cheap accomodation I recommend you Motel: triple or double rooms. It will be cost 21 euro for triple and 26 euro for double room per one person. Frankly speeking not so far from tournament place (about 20 minits) we have one very cheap motel, which cost 10 euro per one person, but my point this way not so good because service very bad...
