Niinpä luin minäkin, tuossa ennen kuin ylempänä olevan kirjoitin. Tässäpä hieman tarkemmin:
* 3a: "Every player has a predetermined time allowance; this is registered by means of a clock."
Peliajan tulee siis olla ennalta määrätty.
* 3c: "At a time determined by the organizers, the clock of black is started."
Peli alkaa järjestäjien määräämänä hetkenä sillä, että mustam kello käynnistetään.
* 5c: "The game commences at a predetermined time. This time may be altered by a decision of the referee."
Pelit käynnistyvät ilmoitettuna aikana, ellei tuomari toisin määrää.
* 5d: "If neither player is present at the starting time, then black's clock is started. White's clock is adjusted to read the same as black's at the moment that the first player arrives. The game then proceeds normally."
Tämä on jo ylempänä mainitsemani valkean aikasakko myöhästymisestä.
* 5e: "The player who without just cause appears at the board more than one hour past the predetermined starting time --- or earlier when he would have passed the time allotment with more than one minute through application of article 5d ---, has lost the game." "If both players are late, the game is declared lost for both."
Myöhästymällä yli tunnin, tai enemmän kuin 5d:ssä määrätty muokattu peliaika, tuomitaan hävinneeksi. Jos molemmat myöähästyvät tuon verran, molemmat häviävät.
Huomionarvoista on, että aikasakon kanssa tämä tarkoittaa myös, että myöhästymällä kierroksen alusta yli 30 min häviää ajalla.
Muut kohdat eivät ole relevantteja myöhästymiseen, ja ainoa joka yllä olevista jää jäljelle on 3a. Onkin sitten tulkintakysymys, että onko myöhästymisestä ennalta määrätty aikasakko osa "predetermined time allowance":a, ja juuri tämä pitääkin kysyä EGF:n suunnalta.
Toivottavasti tämä selkiyttää asiaa -- mutta käyn kyllä läpi nuo säännöt hienolla kammalla ennen kuin julistan mitään varmaksi.
Sinänsähän sakolla ei tietenkään ole tarkoitus tuhota tai pilata pelinautintioa, vaan antaa muille pelirauha, tekemällä myöhästymisestä varsin haitallista myös itselle.
