!!Helsinki University Go Club (YliGo)
The Helsinki University Go Club was founded in 1997 to promote the game of go among students and faculty at the University of Helsinki. Go enthusiasts of any affiliation are warmly welcomed to join the Club's activities.
YliGo is a member of the [Finnish Go Association|FinnishGoAssociation].
Teams representing YliGo have won the Finnish Team Go Championship in the years 2007, 2009 and 2012.
!Activities
YliGo organizes weekly [club evenings|PeliIllat]. Especially the Wednesday evening meeting at Kaisla is popular, not only among the members of YliGo but other go players from the Helsinki area as well.
YliGo's own club room is in the New Student House (Mannerheimintie 5 B, 3rd floor). The club room houses [YliGo's library|YliGonKirjasto] and serves as the venue for [YliGo's Saturday|YliGonLauantai], a monthly go evening with a relaxed atmosphere.
!Membership
The membership fee of YliGo can be paid to any member of the Club's board.
The membership fees for the year 2012 are the following:
* Members of the Student Union of the University of Helsinki: 5 euros
* Not a member of the Student Union, minor (under 18): 7 euros
* Not a member of the Student Union, student: 7 euros
* Faculty of the University of Helsinki: 7 euros
* Others: 10 euroa
* Supporting member (voluntary for anyone!): 20 euros
Members of YliGo gain access to the Club's members-only events and discounts from some other events. Members are also allowed to borrow books from the Club's library.

YliGo has an IRC channel at IRCNet (#yligo) and a room at KGS (YliGo under Clubs).
